Recent Graduate’s Remarkable Language Performance

leave a comment »

Miller School of Albemarle graduate Alina P. (’10) scored in the top 5 of the freshman class on the Spanish placement testing at Washington and Lee University.  This performance earned her an exemption from her language requirements and allowed her to enter an upper level course on Spanish Literature.  Knowing no Spanish when she arrived at Miller, Alina worked incredibly hard to acquire the language.   Kudos to faculty members Debbie Casado and Michael Dalton for the wonderful work they do with our Spanish students every day.
