Future Broadcast Journalists Visit Radio Station

leave a comment »

On Tuesday, February 7th, Miller School of Albemarle students Damian, Angel, Travis, Whitney, Leela, Brandon, and Thomas experienced firsthand the ins and outs of radio broadcasting as they were hosted by MSA alumnus Garrett Klingel at the 1070 WINA radio station.  The students recorded spots that will air on WINA from February through May as MSA sponsors WINA’s UVA baseball and lacrosse broadcasts.  After recording, the students toured the entire Charlottesville Radio Group complex, which is also home to local stations 106.1 The Corner, Lite Rock Z95.1, 97.53WV, and Progressive Talk AM1450.
